REGULATIONS OF THE POLICE OF THE INTERIOR
To be observed in the lacemaking workshops of M. Jean-BaptisteBonnaire, in Caen.
Art. I. No worker is to be admitted to the establishment if
she is not able to demonstrate a certain standard of work.
Those who intend
to join the workshop must obtain a certificate from the priest of their parish,
testifying to the good conduct and to the honesty of their ways. This
certificate will be vetted by the police superintendent in the area where the
worker lives.
Art. IX. ... Anyone who arrives a quarter of an hour after
the bell has sounded, will find the door locked, and she will only be able to
enter at the next session.
ART 1er: Aucune ouvrière ne sera admise dans l'établissement si elle
n'est en état de travailler avec quelque perfection.
Celles qui se proposeront devront se munir d'un certificat du curé de leur paroisse, qui
constate leur bonne conduite et la pureté de leur moeurs. Ce certificat sera
visé par le commissaire de police du quartier où elle résideront...
ART 9: ... Celle qui arrivera un quart d'heure après que la cloche aura sonné,
trouvera la porte fermée et ne pourra entrer qu'à la séance suivante.
